Spend 9 days & 8 nights exploring some of Australia’s most beautiful National Parks. Visit the wonderful sites of the outback such as Alice Springs, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, West MacDonnell Ranges and Palm Valley on our 7 Day National Park Explorer. On this amazing vacation, you will get to visit the gold mining town of Beaconsfield and take a take a guided tour of the Mine & Heritage Center. You will enjoy canapés and a Welcome Drink at the Design Centre of Tasmania, take a guided tour of the Bridgestowe Lavendar Farm where you will get to sample the unique lavender-inspired fare, explore Freycinet National Park with a local naturalist guide, discover Port Arthur, once Australia’s most notorious convict prison, and take a guided tour through this vivid site. Dine on locally-sourced produce at Customs House Restaurant overlooking Hobart’s stunning waterfront. Sample handmade cheese at Ashgrove Cheese Factory, experiencing some of Tasmania’s finest produce.
Day 1: Arrive Launceston, Beaconsfield Transfer to your hotel in Launceston, then drive through farmland and vineyards following the Tamar River. Like a Local – visit the gold mining town of Beaconsfield and take a guided tour of the Mine & Heritage Centre. A Taste of Australia – enjoy canapés and a Welcome Drink as you wander through the gallery at the Design Centre of Tasmania, followed by a Welcome Dinner. Stay: Launceston, Best Western Plus. Dinner Included. Day 2: Bridestowe Lavender Farm, East Coast Natureworld, Freycinet National Park, Bicheno Explore the scenic wine-producing area of northern Tasmania today. Like a Local – at Bridestowe Lavender Farm, enjoy a guided tour of the distillery and sample unique lavender-inspired fare. Traverse Weldborough Pass and stop at East Coast Natureworld to meet a Tasmanian Devil and other native Australian animals. Like a Local – travel into Freycinet National Park where you’ll enjoy a guided walk, then proceed to the town of Bicheno. Stay: Beachfront Bicheno. Breakfast Included. Day 3: Ross, Richmond, Eaglehawk Neck, Port Arthur Today you’ll explore some of Tasmania’s quaint inland villages blessed with fine architecture and bridges. Discover Campbell Town and Ross, before continuing south to Richmond, home to the famous Richmond Bridge. Take in the peninsula of Eaglehawk Neck, then continue to Port Arthur. Stay: Port Arthur, Fox & Hounds Inn. Breakfast Included. Day 4: Port Arthur Historic Site, Hobart Like a Local – visit Port Arthur, once Australia’s most notorious convict prison. Later, join a cruise around the Isle of the Dead. A Taste of Australia – dine overlooking the waterfront at Customs House Restaurant. Two Night Stay: Hobart Apartment Hotel. Breakfast & Feature Dinner Included. Day 5: Hobart, Salamanca Market Set off on a guided tour, taking you to Salamanca Place, Constitution Dock and the harbour area. Later, visit Salamanca Market or perhaps join an optional full-day Bruny Island adventure (own expense). Breakfast Included. Day 6: Hobart, Mt Field National Park, Lake St Clair, Strahan 6 Day (TX6AA) guests conclude their tour in Hobart. Explore Russell Falls, the jewel in the crown of Mt Field National Park, then continue to the pristine World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park.
