Embark on a tour of tropical North Queensland. Explore Cairns, the Great Barrier Reef, board the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway and enjoy a rainforest walk through the Daintree. Cruise on a high speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef, with the option to snorkel and swim. Visit Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, the best place to see crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland. Enjoy the spectacular views above the rainforest canopy aboard Skyrail, your cableway to the charming Kuranda Village.
Day 1: Welcome to Cairns On arrival at Cairns Airport you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Hotel: Mantra Trilogy, Cairns, 6 nights. Day 2: Daintree Walkabout Tour Your first stop is Mossman Gorge for the Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime Walk. Your interpretive Indigenous guide will demonstrate traditional plant use, share their dreamtime legend and explain the history of the cave paintings and their special relationships with this unique tropical environment. Enjoy tea and damper, then it’s on to the township of Mossman, arriving at Silky Oaks Lodge for lunch overlooking the river. Finally a stop in the resort town of Port Douglas, before you take the spectacular coastal drive back to Cairns. Breakfast & Lunch included. Day 3: Great Barrier Reef Cruise on a high speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef, with the option to snorkel and swim. View the wonders of the reef from the underwater viewing area and a semi-submersible craft, with informative commentary from the marine biologists. Enjoy a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch. Breakfast & Lunch included. Day 4: Cairns ‘Free Time’ It’s free time, so perhaps visit the Art Gallery, Botanic Gardens or just relax. Breakfast included. Day 5: Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Visit Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, the best place to see crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland. Join us for a unique eco experience on the lagoon cruise through the ecologically significant Melaleuca wetlands, the domain of the saltwater crocodile. Explore the rest of the park with its abundance of wildlife, including water birds, turtles, wallabies and cassowaries. You can also see the Crocodile Attack Show and discover the world’s most venomous snakes at the Snake Show. Breakfast included. Day 6: Kuranda Scenic Railway & Skyrail Cableway First you’ll enjoy the spectacular views above the rainforest canopy aboard Skyrail, your cableway to the charming Kuranda Village. Then you’ll have time to explore the Heritage Markets and this quaint village before boarding the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for your return trip to Freshwater Station. Breakfast included.
