The coast lovers tour! We leave Melbourne behind and head for the coast to experience the Great Ocean Road. See the Twelve Apostles, Warrnambool, Mt. Gambier and Coorong, all en route to Kangaroo Island. You will travel the Great Ocean Road, witness the amazing 12 Apostles, experience Aboriginal culture at Tower Hill State Reserve, visit Jacob’s Creek winery, watch sea lions play at Kangaroo Island, explore Adelaide Central Market with a foodie expert, and indulge in local cuisine and wine on Kangaroo Island. There is so much to experience on this tour of Australia’s coast, the perfect trip to explore Australia’s coast and experience life down under!

VIEW ITINERARY


Day 1: Melbourne – Warrnambool

Hold onto your seats today for one of the world’s great road trips – the Great Ocean Road! You’ll get plenty of photo opportunities along this gorgeous coastal road, including a stop at the amazing Twelve Apostles. You’ll stop along the way at Lorne and the seaside vacation destination of Apollo Bay before arriving in Warrnambool. Join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome reception and dinner.

Day 2: Warrnambool – Adelaide

This morning you’ll visit Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill State Reserve, a native wildlife haven located in a dormant volcano. The area was a rich food source for the Koroit Gundidj people whose descendants retain links with this country. Your guide will provide you with an Aboriginal perspective about flora, wildlife, volcanic formations and medicinal practices. Continue into Mt. Gambier to visit the mysterious Blue Lake and then travel on to Adelaide, the beautiful capital of South Australia.

Day 3: The Barossa

This highlight day starts with a sightseeing tour of Adelaide city, before journeying north for a visit to Australia’s best-known wine-producing region, the Barossa. You’ll drive through gorgeous villages on your way to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, where you’ll have the chance to purchase some gourmet delights (seasonal). Now it’s time for a ‘boutique tasting’ lunch at the South Australian Company Store. At the Company Kitchen you’ll enjoy a scrumptious meal, including a tasting plate, and wine tastings from two boutique wineries. Later, visit Jacob’s Creek winery to try some of their famous wines before returning to Adelaide. Breakfast & Lunch included.

Day 4: Adelaide – Kangaroo Island

Spend some time relaxing or exploring this friendly city before you visit seaside Glenelg.
Then continue to Cape Jervis to board your ferry to Kangaroo Island.

Day 5: Kangaroo Island Sights

Head to Flinders Chase National Park for some great photo opportunities at the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch. You’ll also have the chance to spot koalas, wallabies and kangaroos. ‘You’re invited’ to Andermel Marron Farm for a food and wine experience that captures what makes Kangaroo Island so special! Andermel will host you with a visit to the Marron (freshwater crayfish) ponds and tanks. Taste some of their own ‘Two Wheeler Creek’ wine and farm-produced bush tucker before sampling the Marron with lunch. Later, join a guided tour at the Seal Bay Conservation Park and walk among a colony of sea lions. Celebrate your vacation this evening at a farewell dinner with your Tour Director. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included.

Day 6: Farewell from Adelaide

Cruise by ferry back to Cape Jervis then on to Adelaide to join a food expert for a guided tour of the 140 year old Adelaide Central Market. Enjoy the hustle and bustle, sample the culinary delights, meet the traders and share the history and secrets of the Market. Later, you’ll be transferred to Adelaide Airport for your onward flight. Breakfast included.
