New Hotels and Hotel Renovations in Hawaii

2015 is bringing some big hotel openings and renovations to the Hawaiian islands. The former JW Marriott Ihilani on Oahu is going to get a complete overhaul before re-opening as the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. The renovations include new swimming pools, brand-new guest rooms, public spaces, and a residential tower. On Oahu’s quieter North Shore, the Courtyard by Marriott Oahu North Shore is schedule to open in May 2015. This hotel will be located adjacent to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie.

There are also quite a few noteable new renovations on the islands. The classic Turtle Bay Resort, located on Oahu’s North Shore, has finished their eco-friendly resort-wide renovations. Some of the green addtions include a solar rooftop, resort-wide recycling, upgrades to restrooms and showers to reduce water usage, organic and locally grown produce, and a heap of new activities. Also, the upscale Hotel Wailea on Maui recently got some big upgrades, including deluxe pool cabanas, a new pool, and an apothecary bar. The luxurious Grand Wailea is getting a tech-focused update in all of its 780 guest rooms. Also, the meeting space and spa as well as new LED lighting and an advanced Wi-Fi upgrade throughout the resort.
