Queen Victoria Crusie Ship Renovations Finished

Cunard’s Queen Victoria cruise ship began its 103 day World Voyage yesterday, after a 20-day refurbishment. During those 20 days, 600,000 man hours were completed by 2,000 contractors working around the clock. Some of the renovations included nine new single staterooms, all new carpet in the passenger areas, eight internet stations in the library, new paint throughout, and 3,167 mattresses were replaced. Outdoor spaces were also improved, and beverage provisions were improved in the Lido restaurant.

Queen Victoria’s 103 day journey will stop in the Americas, Australia, and the Pacific Islands, with the first port-of-call in Ponta Delgada in the Azores.
