You will be met on arrival and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Enjoy the rest of today at leisure in the Garden City.

This morning board the award winning TranzAlpine Train for a journey renowned as New Zealand’s “Great Rail Journey.” Enjoy stunning scenery as we travel through spectacular gorges, river valleys and across the magnificent Southern Alps. Disembark at Arthurs Pass and continue to Hokitika by coach. Travel to Franz Josef this evening.
Stay: Franz Josef Glacier Hotel.
Enjoy a day of scenery as we travel along the Haast River by safari boat, capturing breathtaking views of the massive, glacier formed Haast River Valley. Rejoin our coach and continue to Queenstown. This evening, you have a choice of four dining experiences.
Two Night Stay: Queenstown, Novotel Gardens Hotel.
Today we have a selection of activities for you to choose from and we will include it! Perhaps join a tour through some of Queenstown’s gardens, take a jetboat ride, or a Double Decker tour around Queenstown. Adventure Options also available.
Today we follow the Remarkables Mountain Range and trace the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Fiordland National Park. Travel through the Homer Tunnel and arrive in Milford Sound to be met by Mitre Peak rising sheer from the glassy waters. We board our Red Boat cruise and journey the full length of this beautiful fiord. This afternoon we arrive in Te Anau.
Stay: Te Anau, Village Inn.
Leaving the dramatic landscape of the Fiordland region we journey through rolling Southland countryside. Travel via the rural support towns of Lumsden, Gore and Balclutha to the city of Dunedin. This afternoon you choose an activity and we will include it.
Stay: Dunedin City Hotel.
Today we journey north along the coast to view the unique Moeraki Beach boulders. We turn inland and travel past the beautiful azure coloured man made lakes of Pukaki, Aviemore and Benmore to Mt Cook.
Stay: Mt Cook, The Hermitage.
You may wish to take an optional scenic flight over this awe inspiring alpine region (own expense). Visit the tiny Church of the Good Shepherd before leaving the High Country. Cross the Rakaia River and Canterbury Plains to Christchurch.
